Spectrophotometry

Termin online buchenDoctolib

With spectrophotometry we can quickly and easily analyze minerals, trace elements and toxic heavy metals. It is a very valuable extension of the diagnostic potential. This is because in a classic blood draw, the minerals and vitamins are determined in the blood, but not in the cells - where they are actually needed. Thus, a normal blood level does not automatically mean that the cells are sufficiently supplied.

What is spectrophotometry?

Spectrophotometry has been widely used in medicine for more than two decades. This is because it has been known for a long time that minerals and trace elements are needed for almost all biochemical processes. Therefore, a daily supply is very important, because the human body can not produce them itself. In case of suboptimal intake, poor absorption or increased oxidative stress or other reasons, minerals and trace elements are depleted, increasing the risk of disease development. Physiological functions such as metabolism, intestinal absorption, tissue regeneration, cognition, nervous system, neurotransmitters, hormone balance, enzyme action and the cardiovascular system are dependent on minerals and trace elements. Therefore, it is believed that an optimal supply of micronutrients contributes to the maintenance of health. Spectrophotometry is used to detect such nutrient deficiencies or exposure to toxic heavy metals.

Spectrophotometry: principle and method

Spectrophotometry is an optical method. It is a method of quantitative analysis that uses a focused beam of light to measure the absorbance and optical density of a known chemical substance in tissue and cells.

Spectrophotometry is based on the principle that each chemical component absorbs, emits and/or reflects light at a specific wavelength range. Thus, the more concentrated the sample, the more light it absorbs. The absorbed light from the spectrophotometer generates a value in combination with the individual parameters of the test subject, such as blood type, weight, gender, height and age. A complex, algorithmic formula is used to determine exactly whether the measured concentrations (biomarkers in the tissue) correspond to the expected concentrations (reference values). Each individual element corresponds to a very specific wavelength. For this reason, the concentrations in the tissue can be quantified.

At Eller & Kellermann, we use the Vitacellscan for spectrophotometry. The measurement points are located in the tissue of the palm, specifically in the epithelial cells.

What measurement values can be determined with a Vitacellscan?

The Vitacellscan measures the 20 most important minerals and trace elements, as well as 14 toxic metals. The degree of toxic load and the ratio of certain minerals to each other is also determined. Oxidative stress can also be analyzed during this examination.

For whom is spectrophotometry useful?

Spectrophotometry with a Vitacellscan is useful for anyone who has problems with metabolism, intestinal absorption, tissue regeneration, cognition, nervous system, neurotransmitters, hormone balance, enzyme action, or the cardiovascular system. A Vitacellscan can also be used preventively. We will be happy to advise you individually here.

What is the further treatment after a Vitacellscan?

If a suboptimal supply of minerals or trace elements or toxic metal poisoning is detected in you after a Vitacellscan, there is a need for action. One of the possible follow-up treatments is INUSpheresis®. However, our team will take an individual approach to your clinical picture and draw up an optimal treatment plan for you.

spectrophotometry at Eller & Kellermann

Make an appointment at Eller & Kellermann for your spectrophotometry with the Vitacelscan. We will also be happy to inform you in a free consultation. After the Vitacellscan, we will set up an individual treatment plan for you.

Spectrophotometry is a self-pay service and is billed according to the medical fee schedule.
